形容非常重要、严重或大的事物或人。也可以指大学的主修专业、军衔或音乐中的大调。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Simplified))

在正式和非正式场合都能用。常与“role”（角色）、“problem”（问题）、“change”（变化）等词连用。作为名词，常指大学主修（美式），还表示音乐大调或军衔。不要与“minor”（次要的，反义词）混淆。
