Definition

マカロンは、小さな甘い焼き菓子で、主にココナッツやアーモンド、砂糖、卵白から作られます。フランスの色鮮やかな「マカロン」とは異なるお菓子です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

フランスの『macaron』とは違うお菓子で、英語ではつづりや発音が似ていて間違えやすい。アメリカやイギリスではココナッツ入りが一般的で、ユダヤ料理にもよく登場します。
