Moveu-se de repente e rapidamente para frente, geralmente para atacar, agarrar ou alcançar algo. Usado para indicar um movimento físico rápido e direto.

Normalmente indica um movimento rápido e forte para frente. Comum em esportes, defesa pessoal ou para descrever ações de animais. Frequentemente aparece com 'at' ou 'toward' em inglês (‘lunged at him’). Não confundir com 'lounge' (relaxar).
