Definition

流明是用來衡量光源（如燈泡）產生可見光數量的單位。在生物學中，“lumen”也指管道（如血管或腸道）的內部空間。

在燈光領域，“流明”是衡量燈泡亮度的標準（而不是以瓦特計）。生物學上，“lumen”是可數名詞，指器官或血管內部的中空空間。屬於正式、技術性詞彙，日常會話很少用到。不要與“流明值”（總亮度）或“luminary”（傑出人物）混淆。
