"lost" in Korean
Definition
어떤 물건이나 사람이 제자리에 없거나 찾기 어렵거나 더 이상 이해하거나 통제할 수 없는 상태를 말합니다. 물건, 길, 감정 등에 모두 사용됩니다.
Usage Notes (Korean)
실제로 잃어버린 경우(예: '잃어버린 열쇠', '도시에서 길을 잃다')와 비유적으로('lost hope', 'lost in thought') 모두 사용합니다. 'missing'(아직 찾을 수 있는 상태)과 혼동하지 마세요. 'get lost'는 '꺼져'라는 지시로도 쓰입니다.
