Definition

何かについて詳しく知るために調べたり、事実を確認したりすること。状況や問題を詳しく調査する時に使う。

口語や書類でよく使われる表現です。「look into the matter」「look into a complaint」などの形でも頻出。実際に中を見るという意味ではありません。
