경도는 특정 지점이 본초 자오선(그리니치)에서 동쪽이나 서쪽으로 얼마나 떨어져 있는지 각도로 나타낸 값입니다.

주로 지리, 항해, 지도 읽기에서 사용되며 'latitude'(위도)와 함께 쓰입니다. 보통 도 단위로 표현합니다. 길이나 시간과 혼동하지 않도록 주의하세요.
