স্থল কোন একটি নির্দিষ্ট স্থান বা অবস্থান বোঝায়, বিশেষত মানচিত্র, বস্তুর উপর বা জেনেটিক্সে ক্রোমোসোমের নির্দিষ্ট অংশ।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'স্থল' মূলত বিজ্ঞান, গণিত ও জেনেটিক্সে ব্যবহৃত হয়। সাধারণ কথোপকথনে 'স্থান' বা 'অবস্থান' বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'gene-এর locus' বলতে নির্দিষ্ট জায়গা বোঝায়।
