Colocar pessoas ou coisas em uma fila ou ordem. Também pode significar organizar pessoas ou eventos em determinada sequência.

'Line up' é mais informal, comum em situações cotidianas. Usado para pessoas formando fila ('line up at the store'), objetos alinhados ('line up the chairs'), e para organizar agendas ou eventos ('line up the interviews'). No inglês britânico é comum usar 'queue' para fila.
