عندما يجب عليك الاختيار بين خيارين سيئين، يُسمى الخيار الأقل سوءاً 'أهون الشرّين.'

تُستخدم هذه العبارة عندما لا توجد خيارات جيدة ويتم اختيار الأقل سوءاً. تُستخدم كثيراً في السياسة والأخلاق. لا يعني الخيار المختار جيد، بل فقط أقل سوءاً من الآخر.
