物やお金、助けなどを一時的に相手に渡し、後で返してもらうこと。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
フォーマル・インフォーマル両方で使われます。'lends someone a hand'は「手伝う」意味です。'borrows'（借りる）と混同しないように注意。
