レイはハワイの伝統的な首飾りで、花や葉、貝殻などで作られ、歓迎や愛情、敬意を示すために贈られるものです。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主にハワイの文化やお祝い事に関して使われます。「レイをかける」「レイを贈る」などの表現がよく使われます。英語の 'lay' や、スペイン語・ポルトガル語の 'lei'（法律）とは異なります。
