緯度

Definition

緯度是地球上想像中的水平線，用度數來衡量，用以表示某地距赤道的南北距離。在特定情境下，也能表示行動的自由度。

「緯度」多用於地理學，但有時也指行動的自由或彈性（如“give latitude”）。常見搭配有「高緯度」（靠近兩極）和「低緯度」（靠近赤道）。請不要與「經度」混淆，經度是東西方向的度數。
