開腹術は、腹部に大きな切開を行い、腹腔内にアクセスする外科手術です。診断や治療の目的で行われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「開腹術」は医学用語で、日常会話ではあまり使いません。腹部を大きく切開する手術のみを指し、腹腔鏡下手術（ラパロスコピー）とは異なります。「試験的開腹術」として使われることもあります。
