Definition
산사태는 비나 지진 등으로 산비탈의 흙과 바위가 갑자기 무너져 내리는 현상입니다. 선거에서 압도적으로 이기는 것도 이렇게 표현합니다.
Usage Notes (Korean)
여러 사건을 말할 때 복수형을 많이 사용합니다. 선거나 경선에서는 'landslide victory(압도적 승리)'라는 고정된 표현이 쓰입니다. 'trigger landslides'는 산사태를 유발하다는 뜻입니다.
