예상치 못한 장소나 원하지 않는 상황에 결국 이르게 되는 것. 이전에 벌어진 일들 때문에 그리되는 경우가 많음.

Usage Notes (Korean)

비공식적으로, 부정적인 상황에서 주로 사용됨. 'land up in hospital', 'land up in trouble' 등 장소나 상태와 함께 쓰임. 'end up in'과 유사하지만, 더 뜻밖이거나 어쩔 수 없는 느낌이 강함. 계획된 목적지에는 쓰지 않음.
