一生懸命に体を使って働くこと、または出産の陣痛が始まっている状態も指す。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に体力的な仕事や出産に使われる。知的や軽い作業にはほとんど使わない。「〜して働く」「陣痛中」などの表現で使うことが多い。
