Definition

「級（きゅう）」は日本の武道で使われる、黒帯（段）になる前の初級や中級の段階を示すランクです。数字が小さいほど上級になります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に空手・柔道・剣道などの武道で使われます。「段（だん）」と異なり、初級〜中級向けです。「三級」などのように数字と組み合わせて使います。
