누구나 어떤 것을 아주 오랜 경험이나 자세한 관찰을 통해 모든 부분까지 잘 알고 있는 것.

비공식적인 상황에서 많이 쓰며, 사람이나 사물을 아주 잘 안다는 것을 강조할 때 사용함. 공식 문서에서는 잘 쓰지 않음. '속속들이'나 '속을 다 알다'로도 표현할 수 있음.
