الانحناء حتى يستند الشخص على ركبتيه، غالبًا كعلامة احترام أو للصلاة أو للتسليم.

تستخدم غالبًا في سياق ديني أو رسمي أو لإظهار الاحترام: 'kneel to pray'، 'kneel before the king'. تعني وضع كلا الركبتين على الأرض. لا تخلطها مع الجلوس.
