"kick your heels" in Korean

마냥 기다리다

Definition

아무것도 하지 않고 시간을 보내며 기다리다, 보통 다른 것을 하고 싶거나 조급할 때 쓴다.

영국식 영어에서 더 자주 쓰이는 비격식적 표현. 기다리면서 지루하거나 답답할 때 쓴다. 'wait around', 'twiddle your thumbs' 와 비슷하다.

We had to kick our heels at the airport for hours.

우리는 공항에서 몇 시간이나 **마냥 기다려야 했다**.
