Definition
Bir şeyi (toz veya çamur gibi) tekmeleyerek ya da sertçe hareket ettirerek havaya kaldırmak veya gürültü, sorun çıkarmak.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
'kick up' ifadesi hem gerçek anlamıyla (toz/çamur kaldırmak), hem de mecazi olarak (sorun/gürültü çıkarmak) kullanılır. Sıkça "kick up dust" veya "kick up a fuss" gibi kalıplarda geçer. Mecaz anlamı gayri resmi ve daha çok İngiliz İngilizcesinde yaygındır. 'kick off' (başlamak) ile karıştırmayın.
