誰かや何かと同じ速さで動いたり、発展したり、変化したりすること。

'〜にペースを合わせる'や'〜についていく'の形で、実際の動作（歩くなど）や抽象的な意味（技術、変化など）で使う。フォーマル・インフォーマル両方で使える。
