Definition

ジェットサムとは、通常、危険時に船から軽くするために捨てられ、海に浮かぶ荷物や物品のことです。また、海で見つかる捨てられた物も指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「ジェットサム」は海事用語で、「flotsam and jetsam」という表現で使われることが多いです。陸上のゴミには使いません。「jettison」（投棄する動詞）と混同しないようにしましょう。
