Birini küçük düşürmek veya hoşnutsuzluk göstermek amacıyla bağırmak ya da alaycı şekilde konuşmak.

'Jeer' genellikle olumsuz anlam taşır ve saygısızlık ifade eder. Çoğunlukla kalabalık veya grup tarafından kullanılır ('the crowd began to jeer'); 'jeer at someone' ise birine alaycı şekilde bağırmak anlamındadır. 'Boo'dan daha resmidir.
