A mandíbula é o osso que forma a estrutura do maxilar inferior ou superior na boca. Segura os dentes e ajuda a abrir e fechar a boca.

É usado principalmente em anatomia, medicina ou biologia. Usa-se ocasionalmente de forma figurada em inglês americano: 'jawboning' significa tentar convencer falando. 'Jawbone' refere-se ao osso, e não à região toda ('jaws').
