상대방이 똑똑하지 않다고 생각해서 너무 쉬운 것을 설명하거나 상대방을 낮게 보는 말을 하는 것.

조금 딱딱하고 직접적으로 상대방이 당신을 무시하고 있다고 느낄 때 씁니다. 'Don't insult my intelligence'는 '나를 바보로 여기지 마세요'라는 뜻으로도 자주 사용됩니다.
