무언가의 상태나 질, 문제를 꼼꼼히 확인하기 위해 주의 깊게 살펴보는 것.

주로 공식적이거나 전문적인 상황에서 쓰이며, '장비를 점검하다'와 같이 신중하게 살피는 상황에 사용됨. 그냥 바라보는 것에는 사용하지 않음.
