জীবিত কোনো কিছুর সাথে সম্পর্কিত নয় বা জীবিত বস্তু থেকে আসে না; বিজ্ঞানে সাধারণত এমন পদার্থ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয় যা কার্বনভিত্তিক নয় বা জীব জগত থেকে আসে না।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

প্রধানত রসায়ন ও ভূতত্ত্ব-সম্পর্কিত বৈজ্ঞানিক প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'inorganic' এর বিপরীত অর্থ 'organic', কিন্তু খাবারের ক্ষেত্রে এ শব্দ ব্যবহার নয়।
