'Inflammable' và 'flammable' đều cùng nghĩa, nhưng 'inflammable' dễ gây hiểu nhầm do tiền tố 'in-'. Thường dùng trên cảnh báo an toàn, hiếm khi dùng trong giao tiếp hàng ngày. 'Nonflammable' nghĩa là không cháy.
