不定未定

Definition

はっきりと決まっていない、限定されていないこと。期間や数、終わりが不明確な場合によく使われます。

フォーマルや学術的な場面で使われやすいです。「不定期間」「不定数」のように名詞と組み合わせて使います。「無限」とは違い、終わりが決まっていないだけで、永遠とは限りません。

She has an indefinite leave from work.

彼女は仕事を**不定**休暇で休んでいます。

The end date is indefinite.

終了日は**未定**です。

We have an indefinite number of options.
