自分の行動や見た目、能力などで相手に感心や尊敬の気持ちを起こさせること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

誰かに好印象を与えたり、認めてもらいたい時に使われることが多い。「impressing someone」「impressing by」の形でよく使う。単なる「影響を与える（influencing）」とは異なるニュアンス。
