物や人が動かないように完全に止める、または動けなくすること。主に医療や事故現場で使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に医療や緊急時、テクニカルな場面で使用。「immobilise a broken arm（骨折した腕を固定する）」など。比喩的・感情的な意味合いでは使わない。
