특히 물이나 땅이 추위로 인해 얼음으로 덮이는 것.

자연이나 날씨 상황에서 주로 사용하며, 호수, 도로, 연못 등에 자주 쓴다. 얼음 트레이로 만들 때는 쓰지 않는다.
