高張性（こうちょうせい）

Definition

他の溶液よりも溶質の濃度が高い溶液を指し、その中に細胞を入れると細胞から水分が外へ出ます。主に生物学や医療で使われます。

主に「高張性溶液」や「高張環境」など、科学・医療分野の語として使われます。「低張性」（hypotonic）が反対語です。人や気持ちには使いません。
