衛生士は、健康と清潔を促進するために訓練された専門職で、特に歯をきれいにしたり、口腔ケアの方法を指導する人です。

'衛生士'は主に歯科分野で使われ、特に'歯科衛生士'を指します。グループや複数人の場合で使い、単なる'衛生'（清潔という概念）とは異なります。医療や歯科の現場でよく出てきます。
