Definition

「hollows」とは、表面がへこんでいたり、内部が空洞になっている部分を指します。これは土地のくぼみや、ほおのへこみなど、物理的または比喩的な空きを意味します。

自然や身体の一部（例：頬のくぼみ）で複数形がよく使われます。日常的な小さな穴（ピンホールなど）には使いません。「deep」「shallow」などの形容詞と組み合わせて表現することが多いです。
