"hold out" in Spanish
Definition
Continuar resistiendo o sobreviviendo a pesar de la presión, o extender algo físicamente, generalmente la mano. También puede significar negarse a entregar algo.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Puede ser física ('hold out your hand') o metafórica ('hold out against the enemy', 'hold out for more money'). Es informal. Usada para hablar de resistencia o no rendirse. No confundir con 'hold up'. Comúnmente combinada con 'hope' ('hold out hope').
