Definition
Beyzbol veya softbol gibi sporlarda topa vuran oyunculardır. Bazı sporlarda güçlü hücum oyuncusu anlamında da kullanılır.

En çok beyzbol ve softbol için kullanılır. ‘Power hitters’ güçlü vuruş yapan oyunculardır. Diğer sporlarda (ör. voleybol) kuvvetli hücum oyuncusu için de geçerlidir. 'Heavy hitter' ifadesi önemli kişi anlamında argoda yer alır.
