تُستخدم غالبًا في الحديث اليومي أو في العمل، وغالبًا مع 'try to' أو 'manage to'. تعني أن كلا الطرفين لا يحصل على كل ما يريد لكنه يقبل النتيجة. مشابهة لـ 'find a middle ground'.
