El heather, o brezo, es una planta silvestre pequeña con flores diminutas de color rosa, morado o blanco. Suele crecer en zonas abiertas, rocosas o ventosas, como páramos y colinas.

Normalmente se usa como nombre de planta incontable en descripciones generales: 'The hills were covered in heather.' Es frecuente en textos sobre naturaleza y paisajes, sobre todo del Reino Unido y Escocia. No lo confundas con 'Heather' como nombre propio femenino.
