Definition

お墓の頭の部分に立てられる石で、故人の名前や日付が刻まれています。

主に墓地や葬儀の場で使われる正式な語です。「墓石」は最も一般的ですが、「墓標」も使われることがあります。日常会話ではあまり使いません。
