يشيع استخدامه في السياقات الرسمية وغير الرسمية. يُستخدم للأشياء المادية أو للمسؤوليات/المعرفة (مثل "hand on experience"). لا تخلطه مع "hand in" (تسليم للمراجعة) أو "hand over" (تسليم مع تركيز على السلطة).
