Definition

पृथ्वी की ठोस सतह, जिस पर आप खड़े होते या चलते हैं। यह किसी बात का आधार (कारण) भी हो सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

"Ground" बाहर की प्राकृतिक सतह के लिए है; "floor" भवन के अंदर। कारण के अर्थ में "on the grounds that..." या "have grounds for..." जैसे वाक्यांशों में प्रयोग होता है। बहुवचन "grounds" क्षेत्र या कारण दोनों के लिए होता है।
