物や表面にこびりついて落ちにくい、油っぽいまたは粘着性のある汚れ。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
多くの場合は不可算名詞で、肌や壁など洗っていないものに使います。乾いたほこり（dust）とは異なります。「grimeを落とす」「grimeに覆われている」などの表現がよく使われます。
