चिकनाई वह गुण है जिससे कोई चीज़ तैलीय, फिसलन भरी या चिकनी महसूस होती है। इसका प्रयोग भोजन, बाल, त्वचा या किसी भी चिकनी सतह के लिए किया जा सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

आमतौर पर भोजन, बाल या त्वचा के नकारात्मक या तटस्थ वर्णन में उपयोग होता है। आम मुहावरे: 'तेलियापन कम करना', 'चिकनाई वाली त्वचा'। मशीनों के लिए 'ग्रीस' शब्द अधिक उपयुक्त है।
