এক ধরনের ছোট, শক্ত মরুভূমির ঝোপ যা পাতলা ডাল ও ক্ষুদ্রপাতা নিয়ে সাধারণত উত্তর আমেরিকার শুষ্ক এলাকা পাওয়া যায়।

এই শব্দটি বিজ্ঞান, উদ্ভিদবিদ্যা বা দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিম আমেরিকার মরুভূমি আলোচনায় বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়। ‘sagebrush’ বা অনুরূপ ঝোপের সাথে মিল থাকলেও, ‘greasewood’ মূলত উত্তর আমেরিকায় পাওয়া যায়।
