अनौपचारिक; आमतौर पर व्यापार या कीमत की तुलना में इस्तेमाल होता है। अकसर 'the going rate' के रूप में आता है। इसका अर्थ वर्तमान सामान्य दर से है, न कि निश्चित कीमत से। इसे 'interest rate' से न मिलाएँ।
