グライダーはエンジンのない航空機で、上昇気流に乗って飛びます。また、空気中をすべるように移動する動物や物にも使われます。

「グライダー」は航空機を指すことが多いですが、ムササビなど動物や玩具にも使われます。「glide」（動詞）とは異なります。
