Permitir que uno se deje llevar completamente por un sentimiento, actividad o experiencia, normalmente renunciando al autocontrol. Puede significar disfrutar o involucrarse totalmente en algo.

Se utiliza principalmente para sentimientos, pasiones o actividades ('give yourself up to despair', 'give yourself up to pleasure'). Es más formal o literario. No confundir con 'give up' (rendirse o abandonar) ni con 'give yourself up' (entregarse a la policía). Va seguido de un sustantivo o verbo en gerundio.
